Could look very interesting once you added some more plants and they
    have grown a bit.

You can try some vallis all the way against the back so it kind of forms your
    background.

i like it a lot.. you could place the heater much lower horizontally and hide it behind the plants.. your bala shark is gonna get stressed out being on his own and will need a few friends to feel secure as they are shoaling fish.. but other than that, it looks great :)

oops i spotted the other bala's now just, please ignore the above regarding them :)

but if your neons start to disappear you will know who's having them for supper :)

    Hi Skaapetjie

Pm Prof Dirk your email and he will send you a price list that also include some
plants. You can get some great moss from him at a real affordable price since your
    LPS is a little crazy.

Il pm him and see what he has to say.. The plants are growing nicely , but they are growing too much in length , and not bushy enough.. Now i know what you all are going to say , its the lighting , right? Im looking to upgrade to T5's , but my lfs is not clued ip on t5's.. They say for the light and a ballast il have to pay R500 (Think its a 48 watt then) What do you guys think t5's should cost and how many do i need for my tank (1200x450x450)? Tanx all..

Hi skaapie! The tank and growth look fab, really. Two crits if you're ok with that?
How about a background? I really dont like seeing more than necessary "life-support", (maybe you don't like backrounds?)
And then, that diagonal piece of wood is a bit straight... maybe plant something in front or where the wood meets the substrate to break/soften the line?
erm... I'm hesitating to post, cos it looks GOOD, & I don't want to down you at all... ok, here goes.. well done anyway!

Tanx @tracyp , im glad you posted , thats exactely what i want (Constructive critism) I really appreciate it.. Will try planting something infront of it , any suggestions?? I gave the tank a black background , I dont really like the other backgrounds , as they tend to divert the attension to themselfs instead of the plants.. And then , please clarrify the "life support" you see , i am planning to cover most of the pipes and tubes up when the plants grow dense enough.. Tanx for the input.. And tanx to all for the compliments =)
    Regards
    Die skaap!! =D
