My 4ft planted tetra community

    This is my Tetra community tank it has been runnig for two years. i rescaped it the past weekend so it still has some growing to do.

    fauna:
    rummy nose tetras
    glowlight tetras
    lemon tetras
    bleeding heart tetras
    neon tetras
    emperor tetras
    one SAE
    a pair of bolivian rams
    pleco (only temporary)

    flora:
    microsorum pteropus
    bolbitis heudelotii
    singapore moss
    hydrocotyle leucocephala
    aponogeton undulatus
    bacopa monnieri
    echinodorus ozelot
    echinodorus sp.
    c. wendtii brown
    c. beckettii
    c. crispatula var. balansae

    Tell us more about the hardscape and how you decided on your layout please.

    @jedigenie, they do hopefully they'll breed, my hardscape consists of about five pieces of driftwood that i cabletied together. Trying to stick to the rule of thirds
    @tracyp thanks, the pots are a real eye sore for me too they're there for breeding purposes and i tried my best to incorporate them into my scape.

    very,very nice,can i ask which if any of those tetras spends the most time in the top layer?i notice mine stick to middle and bottom and then move to the top when the lights are off.

    as you can see in the first pic, my lemon tetras are mostly around the top but they also tend to join the rest of the guys swimming around the middle of the tank.

    Liked that trip we did to "Little Shop of Horrors" - that guys face when we told him - Dont worry,we know plants... we'll get them ourselves....lol @Newby's stuff he got that day also doing awesomely btw.

    Nothing you have require caves to spawn. Take out dem pots :)



    Yeah yeah, its well known that I dont like black substrate (looks like asphalt to me) but I if it works for some people then more power to them. Not my flavor.

    Overall I really like the composition of the tank and Bolivian Rams that are well looked after always increases rep with me :)

    lol, I have a young pair of kribs that i forgot to mention on my list. they haven't spawned yet but given their reputation and the females colouring they'll be doing the nasty soon.
