Beautifull! What is the thickness of the glass? Do you have any idea what the tank is weighing? Good luck on the move.

very cool ... but do you know why they are selling it?

I met up with a TASA member at Kenilworth Aquarium Centre yesterday - never been to them before but a few people have recommended them for BIG tanks - I actually got an estimate for something similar to what you are getting and that was under R15k. But I spend a goodly amount of time looking at the construction of the Kenilworth Aquarium Centre tanks, clearly they have been doing this for a while. On large tanks the base on the bottom is a single 10mm sheet + laminated to that several 10mm tiles that fit inside the tanks dimensions (so it is like a normal base + a floating base), second interesting thing was the corners had a glass strip 10mm so that you did not have only the two panels and some silicone. In addition to the base tiles they also had 10mm strips on the base and 2x10mm trips on the top euro style + the cross bracing. Must say it all looked very solid indeed.

I have no clue who made the tank you are getting, be very sure it is sound - or be willing to have an awesome time with some DIY.

All in all it is a nice size ... keep the pics coming.

    Later Ferdie

PS I am still seriosly thinking about moving 2x4ft and 3 3ft tanks to make space for such a monster in the fishroom.

Yep the tabk looks great. Sides is 12mm glass heavily braced, base is thicker. Buying it fro a guy om masa for a great price. Byt now i must sell my other big tank made from 15mm acrylic. Gonna sell it fro a bargain. 120x45x85, with gravel about 15kg of dragon stone stone, and a eheim 2229 wet/dry canister filter for 6000! The filter retails for atleast 3500 alone. Tank is actually more than 10k also but need to make space
