    Hey guys and gals...

I redid this tank just before Christmas. I just couldn't take it anymore, it was quite gross...

Anyway, this is what I added:

Substrate is a mixture of Seachem Flourite and standard gravel, beneath that is a mesh which covers a fertile substrate of Prodac Humus, Prodac Humus Plus and the Prodac plant substrate.

Lighting is about 200 watts of T5.

    Sump filtration and a heater...

    Fish:

    1x A. pertensis female
    1x A. pandurini male
    1x unidentified Corydoras
    3x Corydoras sterbai
    4x Corydoras trilineatus
    5x Corydoras schwartzi

Planning to add a nice school of either Rummy Noses or something similar.

    Plants:

    Cryprocoryne wendtii
    Cryptocoryne lucens
    Cryptocoryne parva
    Cryptocoryne balansae
    Cryptocoryne "green"
    Cryptocoryne "brown"
    Ludwigia repens
    Ludwigia verticular va cuba
    Rotala species
    Echinodorus tennelus
    Star Grass
    Dwarf Saggitarius
    Echinodorus sp?
    Hemianthus Micranthemoides
    Ammania senegalensis

And one or 2 I forget...

And this is the tank at initial setup:

    And this is it now:

I'll update with more pics in a few weeks time.

I'll try when the lights are back on...

In the second pic you can see small white spots on the front of the aquarium... Those are actually Corydoras eggs... No idea which ones spawned, but they started spawning the day after they were put in the tank and there are a few eggs on the glass every other day. I hope some of the little guys make it to adulthood.

Slagter, not much chance of the Corys surviving in a community tank.
The best recipe that I have had success with, is to wait until about 12 hours after the eggs have been laid. Use a razor blade to carefully remove the eggs and place them in an ice cream container that is filled with water from the tank in which they were laid. Float the container in the tank with an airstone placed inside. Add a drop or two of Meth Blue. Do a 50% water change with water from the 'spawning tank' every day. After 2-3 days you will have wrigglers. Start feeding them on brine shrimp/microworms, etc on the 3rd day (they should be free swimming by now).
I normally transfer them to a separate tank at that stage.
Unfortunately Corys are not great parents. LOL
    HIH, just my 2c.
I am still a noob, but have had good success with my Bronze Corys.
