So a few years ago I was a fish fanatic, I had MTS and had more tanks than I had space for.

I stopped keeping fish partly as I could no longer sleep in my bedroom, even with ear plugs, as I am a very light sleeper and a 2 ft and a 1 ft tank together just made too much noise.

So I stopped keeping fish for around 2 years. My passion has always been catfish and still is, although I am always considering new challenges.

So I found myself unemployed and fishless a few months ago and wanted to change it, of course I changed the most important one first, I bought a tank and some fish (you see, I made the mistake of getting rid of everything I had when I stopped).

So I managed to get a good deal on a Yebo 20 litre tank, the powerhead was broken so I bought a small water pump to keep the filter going as well as a sponge filter (I love over filtering).

So this is my tank, it has fine gravel and loads of hornwort, which has recently flowered (found a white flower floating in the tank last week). The most important thing in the tank is the 3 Corydoras trilineatus occupants (pet shops call them Corydoras juli).

They seem to be very happy here, although they are only a small group. They eat Tetra prima and frozen blood worms. En hulle is my hart se punt.

I like these smaller tanks.... can really make them into a center piece.

I have the exact same problem as I have 2 3fts running in my room and it has taken me a while and lots of wasted money to try and find quite filters.

whats the max size of those Corys? would love to get some for my livebearer tank although I found the PH is too high (7.5) for most Cory species...

Ja, I tried ear plugs, no help. I can hear someone walk around in the next room with the door closed between us after 5 AM, I sleep very light.

I think they get between 5 and 7 cm, although I think it's 5 like panda cories.

Cory's are awesome little fish :) Thats a great looking tidy little tank.
I am forcing myself to overcome any noise sensitivities I have - I now have three tanks in my room, 2x40L and a 60L. :p I find that running internal powerheads are the most quiet...

    I sleep through thunderstorms.
I sleep through my wife knocking glasses off her bedside table.
I slept through our shelf falling down in the shower the other night...
