    Whats the PH? you have one fish that want a ph of <7 and those who wants a ph of 8>

    Yep. the arowana is fine with the ph at 8... his quite healthy and active growing at a rate of about 5cm or more a month.

    interesting - all my books say arrows live in water of a ph under 7. If you search the forum you will find many discussions on PH and the effects it will have on your fish and their life span.it might live in the water but its not thriving

    I did do research and i grew the arowana from about 10cm at this ph level. His now 22cm. On youtube ul see people in asia have the same combination of fronts and arowana. If you can manage to adapt them to this ph at a young stage then they should be fine.

    why is the water level touching the brasing? its minimising the surface area of air with water

    looks like thats the way your overflow box is set-up

    Ya i bought the tank and only realised once i filled it up...but okay it was a bargain of a price

    nice and simple setup I like . arowana looks happy , with still lots of space to swim. why are your fronts so dull and not the usual blue or is it just the lighting. ?

    I thinks it was that time of the day lol In real life people are amazed at their blue and some yellow over the gills. I will take a full tank shot and take better pics of the fronts. My phone camera is not that good as you can see.

    Thanx guys. The tank in the reflection is the 1.2 community tank and guess what? Got home from work yest. and i saw about more than 20 lil kribies- babies lol swimming under parents so cool and i only have them for 4weeks they paired off...
