Nice. What type of cory is the one with the thick black line through it's body (the one next to the julii/trilineatus)?

    Thanks!

@Hawk - as far as I know, that little cory is known as a "skunk" cory... - Corydoras Arcuatus.

You definitely should. You just need to post your photo on that thread and add the verification photo.

Thanks for the info. Is the platted tree on the LHS of your tank real? If yes, what tree is it and did you platt it yourself? Reminds me of a Ficus

    Howzit guys...

    Just some advice...

I am looking to get rid of the golden barbs I currently have in my tank... ( 7 of them ).

    The inhabitants are currently :

    3 X Torpedo barbs.
3 X Angels ( COnsidering getting rid of these as well ).
    6 X Rainbows ( 3 X Parkinsons Rainbows and 3 X Madagascar Rainbows )
    4 X Glass Cats.

And then a whole host of cory's, otto's and ancistrus...

    My question :

Should I get rid of the barbs and the angels? Or just the barbs?

I am wanting to introduce 7 -8 Threadfin Rainbows... I love the look of the little guys and they are truly stunning...

Also - I am looking for driftwood in Cape Town / Stellenbosch - at an affordable rate, so that it wont burn a hole in my pocket...

Any advice or assistance here is greatly appreciated...

Look forward to hearing from you guys...

    Cheers.

    Seano.

Get rid of the barbs. Dont you like the angels? They will chow the threadfins if they are small. If you like the threadfins check out the celebs rainbows.

Get rid of the 3 Torpedo barbs they need huge monster tanks to be able to thrive in.

torpedo barbs is fine in a 4ft tank. thats the minimum tank size i would say, grow max 15cm(haven't seen one close to that size yet) they like flow and swiming space.

    Thanks for the input guys...

The Torpedo's are prefect...have had them for just over a year and no issues whatsoever ( touch wood ).

Think I will bew getting rid of the golden barbs this afternoon, they tend to nip at my other fish as well...

Now to find some quality threadfin rainbows in Cape Town...
