Some time ago, my son came home, all excited, from a fishing trip with a lot of tadpoles. I have kept these in a small tenk and some have obviously turned into small frogs. On the odd occassion, I feed these to Malawi', much to the enjoyment of my Grandson.
I am always on the look out for scarcer, not usually found tropicals and have enough tanks, big and small - (mainly 3 feet and bigger) and variety to make a plan to house what I find.
So, yesterday, I found a beautiful Mudskipper (a bit over 4 inches). I am now keen to learn if I can keep these together (in a bigger tank, of course). If so, I would have no objection to the Mudskipper eating the frogs or tadpoles.

Dont quite think it will work - Mudskippers are Brackish water fish...the tadpoles aren't... Skippers need a minimum of one heaped tablespoon on non iodated salt per 10 liters of water... Also very important to build an area where he can climb out on land...
Skippers are messy feeders, make sure your filtration can handle it... Loved feeding mine crickets and watching them hunt them down...

Mudskippers are best kept in a dedicated setup which has been tailored to their needs.

As above - they won't mix. Amphibians won't take any salt in their water, while 'skippers need it.

However, you can still feed the tadpoles to a mudskipper.

    Mudskipper/Tadpoles

Thanks to those who have taken the trouble to reply.
I have no problem in losing the tadpoles - as stated, I have been feeding them to the Malawis.
My concern was to know if it would be safe for the Mudskipper to eat the tadpoles/frogs, as I have read that their stomachs may be sensitive.
But Thanks, that has been answered.
It is good to have a forum like this where we can pick off the experience of others.
