Congrats - and so it starts ...

Now that you have two lights to switch on and off - invest in timer - If you shop around you will find the mechanical type for under R60 ...

Read my comments on the mechanical ones under the thread where someone was going away for a week. If a timer is under R250.00 then it is junk. It can, and will eventually, trip electricity. Imagine it tripping electricity at 9am while you at work, and you only find i tripped 8 hrs later....?

Get a more expensive DIGITAL timer.

Zoom: Good point - I have not had that happen to me - yet - but that does add another requirement to MTS ... two separate breakers on the db, just for fish stuff. Maybe even a pool timer - on the db ... doing this will also make it easier to tie the lot into a self starting generator.

Yeap - MTS has so many rewards.

KFC, Nando's, Spur ... not fishaways.

Only kidding but with Aunty Wollies all you need is space for the microwave door to open.

Where'd you buy them Kribs? Surely the people at the store should know?

I can't tell the difference either, so I play it safe and just buy straight from a pet shop / fish shop. Not much variety :(

Watch out for plant sales on the forum - some of the guys here know a thing or two.

Plant everything in the garden. Those that die were then aquarium plants LOL

    @ Madam
You will be surprised how little the pet shops know about plants girl. It is then them that sell you the garden plants as aquarium plants .......

Madam, put some pics of your plants on here and hear what the experts say? You might well have some garden plants in your tank without even knowing it LOL
