    Hi,

This is not a true Blackwater Biotope, as the wood, sand and fish species are not from the same area.

    Specs of the tank.

    Tank: Standard 2 foot, 60 * 30 *30
    Substrate: Play pen sand
    Filter: Hang-on 800l/h
Light: Clip on 7500k 15w cfl
Hardscape: Spider wood, will add Oak leaves and branches later on for the Blackwater effect
    Fish: 10 * Corydoras Sterbai's, 4 * Peckoltia Compta L134, a Pair of Apistogramma(still deciding on which species)

The tank has only been up and running 4 days and the rocks will be removed ontop of the wood, Oak leaves and branches will still be added.

    Thanx all,

Indeed, very much, they can't get enough, sifting through the sand, looking for something to eat.

No, I didn't cycle the tank, I add Seachem's Prime and Stability, and I have never lost any fish this way

Looking Stunning @morris. Love the whole "feel" of the setup. The Corys are just too stunning in a little shoal like that.

@morris that tank is stunning and the cories are even more beautiful than I imagined in such a school. I don't see them like that often.

    Thanx all

I see you are from Fourways.....I got the driftwood from a petshop in Fourways. Can't remember there name

The only fish will be, the school of Corys, 4 * L134's and a pair of Apisto's.
I only wanted to add 2 * L134's, but I can't let the chance pass me, in getting 4 of them, as they are very scarce here in SA
I cannot add to many fish as this tank is only 60l

@morris - Wow those leopard frog plecos are cool. Not surprised you are taking 4. Must be costing you a small fortune. :blink1:
