Moonlight good or bad?

I rigged one of my old pc's Blue neon lights to my tank so that its on at night when my main lights go off during the night. Will this Bother the fish at all or should it be fine ?

I have seen my fish sleep with the lights on so blue might be fine IMO

I Used an old ATX PC power supply. Fiddled with it so that it would run without a Motherboard.Then took an old pc neon tube i had laying around and just connected it to the power supply. you can ask at pc shops if they have old ATX PSU's there . 200watt or less would be more then enough. Just make sure its the 20 or 24 pin one. . and pc neon lights are cheap now. about R50 at some places. they come in red, blue, uv ect. uv would bring the colours out a bit more i think

 

ok cool I think I am going to try these lights out, there are so many ideas I will have to test them out to see which will work best for me

 

the light is a bit brighter then in the pic. but nothing that i think would bother the fish. my Talking catfish swims around the tank when this light is on
