It's scary too see all those fish in one tank. Looks a bit crowded to me.
Are those freshwater rays? lol I thought you only get marine rays *_*

That tank is severely overstocked... and the owner should be drowned in that tank!

    (Tank Info : 14'x5.5'x4'
Filter Info : 300gallon bio balls, with 6 submersible 1000GPH pumps and one external 8000GPH pump. Ultimate 10k or 20k ect...... with 24/7 new water dripping(

the filtration on this tank is HUGE and bigger than um almost all of us heres tanks !
almost all of the fish in there are tough to keep when big so this guy must be doing something right.awsome..
Im sure I remember reading that rays will not be on the proposed new blacklist.

    Yip!

Freshwater rays are blacklisted here!! Shame really, as in the right sized monster tank like Henks, they would look awesome!!

It looks overcrowded..but that tank is over EIGHT THOUSAND litres..so it has enough capacity to maintain healthy fish..jst not enough space for them to swim around properly

If the fish cannot swim a certain distance without bumping into another fish or glass of the tank... then it's overcrowded. No matter what type of filtration you have in there....It's cruel to keep fish like that!

Well, more than that actually... if you include all the freshwater whiprays of Asia, the 'oddball' South American freshwater ray, the landlocked North American 'freshwater' ray as well as the two African species, not to mention all the brackish/freshwater species... there are quite a few :blink1:

I have heard of importers getting rays. they sell them for around 2 grand. apparently a guy buys most of the large fish from this wholesaler. I wonder who he is

    correct...

and only these four species of Potamotrygon (south american freshwater stingrays) are on the black list
    Potamotrygon Hystrix Mottled Freshwater Stingray
    Potamotrygon Laticeps Freshwater Stingray
    Potamotrygon Motoro Ocellated Freshwater Stingray
    Potamotrygon Reticulatus Reticulated Freshwater Stingray

there's many many more species of Potamotrygon. I cant comment on the Hymantura genera though, but there's lots there also...

Any chance you could get the legal ones in Dolphin? I assume they would be fairly costly?
