Monster Fish of the Congo - give this a watch!

    This is just over a year old I know, but having had it on the PVR for ages I finally watched it last night and found it fascinating seeing the multitude of species coming out of the Congo River and learning about how scientists hypothesise that the extremely strong current has caused species to diverge and evolve differently even given their close proximity, effectively evolution in 5th gear.

    @tyrrell,
    I have seen this. Very interesting.
    Particularly the bit were they haul the net of smaller fish out...Elephant Noses and Bichirs etc.

    only a pleasure shan, as I know we're probably mostly like-minded people who would appreciate this show. the sheer number of species in the Congo is incredible hey
