    Hi..

    Does anyone know where I can get a starter culture? Maby in Potchefstroom or nearby?
    I want to use the microworms to feed fry.

    Thank you.

    Hi Jimmy!

    Firefly is right! I have a good 'breeding' program going with these guys! I'm actually in the proces of doing some line- and selective breeding with them to create a personal strain of MW! Just kidding...

    Pm me, you can collect anytime! Just give me a heads up, I need to prep a culture for you and prep the worms mentally. They dont like travelling and easily get homesick.

    Rgds,

    Marco

    Great to hear Marco that your are also now doing the preflight medic routine and that our strain is evidently still foot and mouth free, congrats bud !

    Hey Trevor!

    They are cooking this side! They still very temperamental (think they got that from you) but as you say, foot/mouth free! I'm planning to do some psychological toughening in my breeding program, tired of 'snot & trane' whenever a relocation comes up!

    Now if you can psychologically train them to "kamakazi" themselves into the tank one at a time at a steady pace, whilst maintaining their population... then I'll be impressed!

    I have NO bloody idea!

    No, seriously! I keep the culture going, (2 actually, if one should crash) and I have NEVER used it! I got it as I was planning to 'downgrade' the Discus side and start with some Dwarf Cichlids...yeh, that worked! Added 2 more tanks for...Discus! And oh my gosh they wont touch them!

    So all jokes aside, I guess I just breed microworms! WoW!

    @Vez

    They actually great food for small fish fry (dwarfs, tetra's, killifish etc)

    I should find a use for them but....I just dont know what! I keep them going for "someday" when I'll need them. When will that be?

    Sell starting cultures to other people? When I get to that stage one day, I am sure going to knock on his door!

    @Tom.K

    Great idea! Everyone, from now on my highly educated, trained and line-bred Microworms sell for R950 a culture!
    Just kidding!

    Nah Tom, cant do that. Against my principles to sell what I got given for free. I'll just spread the LOVE man...! Microworms for President! (they cant do worse than Zoom-Zoom can they?)

    Yea, but think of all the value added, not to mention the training! If you dont keep them going, where will I get it when I need it?
