    Controls algae in Freshwater Aquariums

    Will not harm fish or live ornamental plants


    For use in acrylic or glass aquariums


    Fast Acting




    Active Ingredients

    Poly(oxyethylene) (dimethylimino) ethylene (dimethylimino) ethylene dichloride......5.40%


    OTHER INGREDIENTS: ..........94.60%


    Directions: It is a violation of federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. For use in self-contained aquariums, ornamental ponds and fountains without any outflow. For aquariums and small ponds with heavy algae growth, clean the excess algae off the sides and ornaments before adding ALGAWAY 5.4. This will reduce the amount of decaying organic matter.


    Aquariums - Add recommended dosage near the filter outflow to mix into the aquarium water rapidly. Remove dead algae from aquarium. Repeat does every 3 days until algae is controlled.


    Repeat dosage once per week for maintenance.

    What types of Algae does this product kill?

    All except Black Beard algae.

    It works well for me and it goes a looong way. As stated - not for BBA and it will kill snails and shrimp

    I have found it doesnt kill BBA and the algae that grows on the glass. I dose once a week as per the instructions. 1 capful for about 220 liters. Also I do have a few snails in my tank and it doesnt kill them either.

    very well. On a 2 foot tank its something like 11 drops every 3 days if I remember correctly. Clean off as much as possible with a toothbrush for maximum success

    Thread algae is no problem for it. I got it to get rid of thread algae and was very happy with the result

    Not green spot algae - I dont have any of that. Im not sure what its called. Its more like a film of growth rather than an algae. It comes off the glass very easily using one of those magnetic cleaners.

    If you say it is not safe snails? Do you mean it kills the snails...

    If so won't that cause ammonia spikes!

    It does not seem to harm ramshorn snails but the apple snails really hate this stuff
