Not sure if this section is applicable, but this post is in response to my neons showing signs of Ich.

I have them in a 70L freshwater planted tank.
I do bi weekly water changes of about 10-15%
And fer twice a week since there are quite a few plants. (using flourish, potassium, excel)

A guy from a LFS sold me microbe lift ich-out which I still have and am considering using.

since there is barely any reviews about this product for use in a planted tank, does anyone have experience with it and would it be safe to use in a planted aquarium ( what about dosing with ferts still?).

    It contains:
    Formaldahyde(<5%)
    Methanol(<1%)
    Malachite Green Chloride(<0.1%)

Don't. Rather just increase the temperature of the tank for a couple of weeks and let nature take its course.

There is no need to dose any ich medication, just keep them eating good food and up the temps. Do your water changes as per usual.

Hey Sean, thanks for or response.

I have heard of salt and heat as a treating method but as far as I know, increasing the temperature only increases the life cycle of the ich and is not guaranteed to eradicate it as cannot some withstand say 28 degrees c?

Nevertheless I have started dosing with bio elite anti ich which is supposed to have no harm full chemicals and is prima rily herb based. So far so good. Will post the outcome of the 14 day treatment.

On that note it is also sfe for plants. The ich out containing formaldehyde just didn't sit well with me.
