I know theres another thread here, but I suppose this is another way of doing it.

See pics below, its pretty straight forward...bits needed below :

3 pieces of wood cut to dimensions of stand (hardware store cut everything to size for me)
    30 wood screws
    4 right angle brackets
    Wood glue

If you want a door, then another piece of wood cut to the size of your choice and hinges.
I put a lock on mine to stop my 2 year old from getting hold of my test kits and other gear.

Basically one trip to the hardware store and approx 2 hours of your time max.

In the end its basically a wrap for your stand, but looks like a cabinet.

Nice design, did you use the same wood for the lid as well, and if so, hod did you seal the insides?

No I used Pine for the lid, the height I needed for this cabinet wrap was bigger than the pieces they sell at the hardware store, so i bought a piece of 18mm shutter board they soldme for R134.

I used black Velvaglo paint, very much like a gel when painted on and seems to be very durable....I just made sure all areas were covered, both inside and out, especially joins or areas where there are gaps. I applied 2 thick coats, and paid alot of attention to corners and joins.
But there is zero moisture in the canopy, its bone dry 24/7 due to the extractor fan fitted.

Nice DIY. I did the same with my stand. Had the wood cut to size and then put them together like a puzzle.
