Does anybody have experience with metal halides in a planted tank? I have a 4ft and am thinking of using a 2x150W MH with 2x54W T5 combo pendant. (instead of a 4x39W T5 - which are 3ft tubes)

Henk used 2 150W MH's (with some T4's or something) on his old planted cube. The plants grew like crazy...

I am using a 150w MH over my nano. It works very well. If I understand correctly, it is a good idea to have CO2 with very high levels of lighting.

I can really recommend pressurized co2. You can really see the difference.

This is what it looks like on my nano
    50x60 display and a height of 40.

I have bought mine from a online shop. Dorry pets.
You should be able to get it from any place that stocks marine equipment.
I have also heard of guys getting some from electric equipment shops at cheaper prices.

Only the metal halide but most places that keep marine equipment should have Co2 equipment since they use it on calcium reactors.
