Angels are usually measured according to their actual body size excluding fins.

    Only a pleasure Carping :)

PS: Donny the reason they don't measure from fin to fin is that some angels have the very very long finnage so if you take the length from tip of fin to tip of fin you could have an angel which is then seen as being 10cm but the actual body size of the angel is only 3cm, which is very deceiving. (Talking about small angels now not fully grown angels) :)

NOTE : a "Good" angel should have the top and bottom fins at least the same length as the body measurement, So it should be about 3 times as high as it is wide (excluding the tail) Look for that in the LFS !!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1) with a ruler.
    2) u can use the same ruler
    3) the same ruler should do it again.
    4) you MIGHT need a second ruler by now. The angels move so fast that you would have gotten frustrated with trying to measure the first 3 measurements, and shattered the ruler against the tank trying to shock the angel into keeping still.

Nope Zoom, obviously you are not a man with experience.
What you do is catch the angel, pin it down on a piece of polystyrene using thumb tacks and then you can measure at your leisure LOL

Take a pic of the angel with the camera on a tripod to keep the position.
Then put a ruler in the water at the same spot where the angel was...
Then take a pic of the ruler and use your pc to measure the angel :p:cool:

make sure when using ACE007 method to allow for magnifying ... due to glass thickness and water distortion
