It's out matric farewell in a few months, and, as the guy always does, I need to get the ride to the thing.

People go with all these fancy cars and can pay a lot of ching ching sometimes, but we are looking for something special and unique and some thing that is hopefully not for rent by a company, which we can use for free - just give the oom who's thing it is a bottle whiskey or something - if you know what I mean.

So here it is - We are looking for something cool, nice or funny to go in. A vintage car, a bulldozer, whatever.

Can you please post suggestions and ideas which I can look out for, and, if you own sometihng nice, or know someone nice owning something nice - please post too :)

And obviously - I'm in CT - Melkbosstrand and the event is somewhere between Philadelphia and Durbanville. Getting something from say Paarl or Worcester would be crazy. I know there's a few who lives close by.

Thanks, and I hope for the best,
    Razer

Nice ideas - but I assume an ambulance would be expensive (if it's doable) to get... I don't think my girl will like being in a trollie :p

Haha Ryno. I'm sure it would be quite a view with the dress and the windforce

SHE wears a dress. LOL. Yeah there's lots of ideas, but to find it all is the problem.

A massive big 18 wheeler truck. That would certainly get the other guys at the dance to look.

Please oh Please remember her HAIR!!! You do not want to mess up a million dollar look that took her the last 72 hours to compose with something like a helicopter ride (worse idea I have ever seen). Also her dress will cost her thousands, so try to keep that clean as well. What might seem reasonable for us blokes, might be a crap idea to her (something like a smelly garbage van).

We had a guy bring his girlfriend in a heli once. Firstly, she REFUSED to get out until the blades had stopped spinning, because of the wind on her hair (don't blame her) and secondly she felt sick sick sick the entire night. If you've never been in a heli before... it can be a rather nauseous experience.

Also remember, SHE needs to climb OUT of whatever you take her in. If it's something that requires a ladder, or a big step down... this is a no-no... firstly, tight dresses plus ladder type steps equals torn dress. And I can almost guarantee that she will be in heels.

If I had not sold my Lamborghini Reventon I would have borrowed it to you. Just joking I wish I had one. I like the police idea. I don't know what the police there drive buy here they drive Audi s3's Bmw 1 and 3 series, and VW GTI's . So you can maybe go to the Police station and try and find someone who would be able to help you (if it’s legal). The handcuffs part is a bonus. You can go in a prison jumpsuit.

All I can tell you is what my date and I did - refused to pay for a car, we used his beat up old bakkie, parked it in the parking lot and just walked in. I have to admit I am one of the few girls around who refuses to waste money on the matric dance. I remember I paid R500 for my dress, R50 for shoes, R100 for hair, did my own makeup. Just so that we had more money to spend for our Hermanus week (the week EVERYONE goes either to plet or Hermanus to drink and party :p)
