Marine setup

Hi all

I would like to start a small low cost marine setup so what I would like to know is.

1) What is the smallest you can begin (tank size)
2) What type of fish (for beginners)
3) What do I need (hardware)
4) What will it cost (the whole setup)

P.S please give me the best advice and price

butterflies (not coral safe), Blennys, fire fish, dwarf angel, cardinals

 

Johan, dane has a DIY method for small marine tanks...maybe you contact him as a second option, he isn't using filters etc...just frequent water changes...speak to him, i'm sure he can give you some good advice on going the DIY method...

Marine tanks shouldnt have ANY type of "filters" that we use in FW.

filtration in marine is done by a skimmer, dsb and the rock

 

okay theo, so i used the wrong word...not all that clued up with the marine setups...but i will be one day...

Johan008, as JesseG has advised, check out Dane's nano...very low budget and quite simple. The water changes will be the challenge though if you replicate his system.
