    Hi

My Two male mollies have suddenly stopped liking eachother suddenly, I have no idea what caused the change of heart?? The Marble male now chases my Golden male around the tank everytime the cross paths??

The tank is 3ft, heavily planted and contains 2 Males and 7 females (and 1 pleco)? I have no idea what to do and I can see the Golden male is taking strain... I was going to remove him to my other tank but thats currently holding fry! how does one discipline a fish??

    Any suggestions?

I'm unsure if this applies to Mollies as well, but I know with Swordtails, when you have a group, you make a group such that the ratio of males to females is close, but the males should be slightly less in number than the females. In this way, there should be a small group of males.

Because there are more males, there won't be just 2 fish in competition with each other - instead, there are many males competing with each other, therefore no induviduals are picked on.

    Hope it helps...

With all my livebearing fish i have always gone 1 male to 3+ females... I've never gone more than 1 male.
The males will fight, and often to the detriment of one.
