if you live in CPT do not lower your PH and the water has been buffered to the higer PH... all you do to drop the PH to around 6 is to put an airstone in it over night....

I live in somerset west. Do u think that method of lowering the ph will work here too? I dont know the Cape that well so dont know if the different areas get water from the same source?
If it does it would safe me lots of cash:bigsmile:

Pokry - you will get your water from the steenbras dam which is serioucly acidic. the water guys add bicarb to the water to prevent it from eating the pipes. all you do is to put an airstone in the water and the PH will drop to around 6....

Prof Dirk Bellstedt keeps Altum angels in his tap water in somerset west.....
