This afternoon I finally got a chance to work on my 250L tank, and I had a nice piece of wood that I wanted to use.

So a caught all the fish as I could accidentally place a rock or a piece of wood on one of them, and put them in a 15L bucket with a piece of wood in it and towel over it.

When I had the tank ready (it was less then a hour) and I wanted to put the fish back I found my ghost knife motionless on the bottom of the bucket(I've done this many times before with no problems)

Then I did what I could to save him but to no avail :(

Now a part of me wants to stop keeping fish, then I look at my 3 corys happily searching for food and I feel a bit better.

I've lost allot of fish in the past 3 years but non where as special to me, not even my gourami.

I'm not sure what to do now as my whole tank was build around him and I bought this tank for him as he was outgrowing my 110L.

Sorry to hear of your loss.

When I do work on my tank, I leave the fish in.
iMO it's less stressful for them than being caught, and put in another container.

    Thanks for the support guys.

Reedfish I normally also keep them in the tank but I really moved and removed stuff so I was afraid I might trap one and not notice soon enough.

    Sub-lime I don't think I'll stop,I've calmed down a bit and I'm trying to be positive.

WeirdSteam sorry for your loss, it realy sucks when you lose a fish.

Sorry to hear that man. A BGK will always be a sad loss. They have such an unusual way of swimming and bumbling around like a blindfolded dog, when looking for food.... They kinda get into your heart. I feel your pain dude.

Strange that it should have died within an hour though. I can only think that there was something in the bucket. Ah well.. Next time luckier...

Dash, I only put it with 4 angels the others I moved to my 110L, he and the angels like to eat neons so I did not move them.

I've had him for 2 years now and he was just starting to permanently swim around with the lights on.

Again thanks for the support guys I appreciate it.
