well Khalidmanack i feed once a month with tetra plant plantamin, i dont have a maintenance routine as such as the tank is still newish, lighting is very high natural light, a couple of hours of sunlight and a 30W globe but that wasnt in there when the flower stalk first appeared, substrate is a black very fine gravel, maybe fluorite mixed with white larger gravel. no CO2 added or anything like that.

that sucks zoom from what i gather the flowers are white, and it is possible to cross fertilize the individual flowers with a paint brush which i would like to give a try. ill post pics as soon as the flowers open gareth. i moved some of the hair grass today and put in the last rock feature.i also put my wood in to soak in a bucket of water to leach out the tannins how long should i soak them if i change the water everyday.

Very interesting -Thankyou for sharing windfire.

"soak in a bucket of water to leach out the tannins how long should i soak them if i change the water everyday. "

depending how large the wood is - at least a month or two or more(imo)
boiling speeds things up a bit.
