I have a trio of unusual ancistrus, and i am looking for more. they have the same fine white spots like the starlight ancistrus, but are a rusty reddish brown color.

here is a pic of the fish just when they came in. I am looking for more, so if anyone sees some around, please let me know.

    Hey guy howsit!
    @sarf
I have ONE, Adult Male Wildcaught, White Spotted Ancistrus, came in as part of a small batch not too long ago.
This I shared with a fellow importer friend, up in Joburg.
    Not like my starlights.
It's so blotchy, very hard to see colour exactly.
    Superficially looks like yours.
Email me where/when you got those, and I will try to track more down for you.
L No, or any other designation would help immensely.

I am doing some WildCaught Amazonian fish soon( 1month overdue actually)
Then Tankbred Imports of different Bristlenose ancistrus, and other interesting Lnos inbetween
I KNOW you would like them...even if your hands are already full! hehe

They do look a bit stressed, so are probably a bit paler than one would expect them to be.

    LOL
    @ Reedfish, I get that.
I mean, MY OWN fish, almost always has a mottled background, and it's not stress related.
Especially in the pic, where they are behind sponge filters, on back wall.

this makes me think, we may have fish from possibly the same source.
IF so, good. If not, we will follow the supply trail to it's source.

Now @sarf just needs to touch base.
