If I can get my paws on a proper camera I can snap and load all my fish up here... Loads of malawi species and some others as well

    Hi Guys

How do you get decent pics of your tanks? My flash reflects off the glass and if I switch it off it's too dark.

@MarcHawke, what type of camera do you use? The reason I ask is to check if there is some manual setting syou can adjust especially your ISO, F-Stop and shutter speed settings.

@wsteene - I have a point and click . It's a canon S50 and I use it on auto mode. Takes great pics. I've never really bothered to mess around with the settings. Guess I will have to learn about my camera now. I thought fish keeping was easy! :suspicious:

@MarcHawke, the "mik en druk" cameras make it difficult when it comes to taking pictures without a flash, if not mistaken you will be able to adjust your ISO setting on it, can maybe give it a try when you switch off the flash. Fish keeping does have its tricks so does have photography. All of the best mate.

@EnvironmentalBro, Where is the format for the fish profiles so that I can start entering in some of the info?

yep you can use whatever is suitable.. i do think tho that if we dont have even one pic for a certain fish, then even a slightylu blurred pic might be better than nothing to someone who has no idea what a that fish might look like..

    my 2c(

the sad part is you dont even get 2c anymore) so that tells you what my comments are really worth lol

    be cool :)
