Wanted: Looking for Jaguar Cichlid Female

Please pm me if you have any female jaguar cichlids available around 8 -10cm in size.

Don't wanna pay an arm/leg for it so let me know and I will get back to you if within range and price. not in too much of a hurry at this moment.

 

best bet is to try buy 6 small guys and grow them up and try get a pair that way
arranged marriages with CA not a easy thing

Did the same with my convicts at first when I started out with them, waited till they paired of and sold the remaining and worked out quite well.

cab use a divider as well spawned most of my pairs threw a partial divider, always giving female escape plan for when male gets grumpy
what size tank you planning on housing pair in

 

Currently, I have a 120x45x45.

I want to now over next to months invest into something like a 180x60x70. Would this be sufficient?
The Jaguar I have no is not that big he is about 12cm-14cm kept with a few convicts, but I can see their is some aggression between them.

 

Nice 6 foot will work well yes
Jags only really come into there own from 20 to 25 cm and then they are legit wrecking balls of a fish, convicts will become food and would definitely not have any other fish in with a pair as they will get bullied till they die.
Big pair in a 6 foot will be awesome provided female is safe and can escape male

 

Great Thank you for the advise, I will then invest in a 6foot just for the 2 Jaguars and do a bit more research on them as well in the meantime and make sure to see what i can do with providing enough hiding spots so that female can escape from male.
