Hey ppl! just a question about some loaches:

How would yo-yo loaches get along with clown loaches in my planted comunity tank? Say about 5 of each. oh and its a 1.2 for now. The clown loaches can Grow pretty big i know so i will propably have an 2m tank before the end of the year and the clowns are still only 4cm and they grow very slowly. Saw a 17 year old clown loach on google.... very very large!

    Hi there

Some people have luck with mixing loaches, others do not. Clown loaches are quite tolerant of other loaches in the tank, however, people have had mixed experiences with YoYo loaches. For the most part, people say that they're peaceful, social creatures, which is as much as I have seen - they rarely bother other fish. All I can say is that you should be prepared to move them if anything happens.

    Regards

Clowns and Yoyos should go well together. I've got a Yoyo with my polka-dots and they seem to get along. Although the Yoyo does seem to chase them around a bit, it's most likely because he's male and they're all female.

So yes, as long as you have a group of each, the clowns and yoyos should leave each other alone :)
