Wanted: Live Plants wanted in Durban

Hi Guys

Hope everyone is well and safe

Is there anyone selling live plants in Durban , Im starting from scratch and require all the plants i can get from carpeting plants , Anubias , Giant Vallis , Crypts , Java Fern , Mosses , Buce.

yeah - maybe @SalmonAfrica can give you some advice on who is still growing plants in DBN. At one point loads of the plants for sale was from Durban ... so they must have some surviving members.

Whew, not a part of the hobby I'm deeply rooted in, but there are a few options around. Most pet stores carry the regulars - Echinodorus, Java fern, Java moss, vallis, Anubias, and maybe a few pots of odds and ends if you're lucky. Eurospirit in Durban North had a few of these, last I checked.

If you're digging into specifics, you'll have to order online as @ShrimpNation said, and it looks like they've got a fair selection too. I've also seen stuff cropping up about ADA KZN (link to site here), although it's very new and I can't comment much on that.

 

Thanks Guys for the responses.I have tried most pet stores in Durban and they dont have stock due to restrictions on imports during the Lockdown. I will try Euro Spirit.

@ShrimpNation , you have most of the stuff i am looking for , will you be able to ship to Durban with the current restrictions , if there are any lol.

 

The hobby is alive in Durban. Due to the poor state of local pet shops in durban most people are part of what'sapp groups where fish/plants and hardware are sold or traded. The best shops are situated in Hillcrest to be honest. You can pm me if you would like a few names. My favorite is something exotic in Hillcrest.
