    Oky I have a planted tank, but the plants keeps on dying, tomorrow I'm going to buy a florescent light/tube, what should I look for? I wnt one that will make my plants grow and my fishies happy

    Would this be for your 90L tank? depending on the lighting needs for you're plants. If high tech tank then about 1-1.5 watt per liter. Also depends upon the depth of your tank as light loses intensity rather rapidly with depth.

    eeehhhh 1W per litre is not necessary. that much light could be a real algae problem waiting to happen if you dont have your system conditions just right.

    I can't find out what plants I have but its plants that floats on the top.these plants keeps on dying. My tank is 900x350x300. So what light I need? What spesifications?

    Show pics of your plants? Low tech you can add 2x daylight t8 tubes. Think 25w fits in the standard 3ft hood

    Well if you can 2x54w t5 lights of 4ft tank. Dont buy blue lights and dont buy lights with a higher kelvin rating of 8000k. We use a mix of 6500k and 8000k lights on high tech setups(most of us)

    And when you get there, stop, turn around and head to a pet shop that sells aquarium bulbs!

    im going to buy ballasters for the lights, petshops is to expensive with that

    im stuck..... Some say look for 8000k or 6500k at a electrical shop. Others say buy at a pet shop. Now what am i supposed to do??

    get yourself some 6500k rating tubes and see the plants grow

    i say why pay more for the same.. im sure there was a thread about this, if im not mistaken Builders sells aquarium friendly lights...

    Go get all your tubes from thelamphouse in Marlboro Business park cheaper then all the places, 6500k tubes R42 8000k tubes R54 t5 54w

    i have been looking all over.. can't find 4 foot T5s.. u sure about the Lamphouse?
    that is an awesome price btw.
