    Hey guys i need a unit for a planted tank . Powering a lampnof 8-15 wats or for a 30 liter aqautium :)

    Desk lamp with cfl? Or are you looking for something like a clip on LED?

    Diy with a 25w tornado buld. Should set back around 100.

    You walk into ACDC or Builders and get a 25W bulb with a 6500 K rating...then just screw it into a socket that can house it.

    Can i use leds to grow plants ? And wat strongness do i need?

    That depends on what you want to grow and how deep the tank is. Just be sure to get the correct colour temperature. About 6500 kelvin (cool white) is good.

    LEDs are lekker if you DIY. There's a couple places on Bidorbuy selling LED chips.

    My only problem with them is if you don't have a lens on them you get very directional light which is rubbish in all the corners unless setup correctly.
