Hi guys i bought a 39W HAGEN - GLO T5 HO light ballast for my 270 litre.I want to now if this is enough for medium -high light plants without Co2
and want a very well planted tank. If it isnt enough then what will i have to do by not getting Co2 for them to grow and be healthy.
    The tanks specs are
    Heigth -51 cm
    length-120cm
    width-46cm
here is a pic of the tank now

Hi mc1,if you have a double ballast,i.e. 2x 39 Watt, you'll be good for medium light, but your tank is very deep,so you might have some difficulty reaching the substrate with enough light. And when you have a large planted mass, you'll have allot of shadowed parts.
If you carefully select the plants, you can do well.Dosing with Seachem Excell, liquid carbon,or any other suitable carbon additive, will greatly improve growth
