I've got some veteran (they're probably going on 4 years old now, two remain from an original shoal of 4) lemon tetras who are looking frisky - the female is full of eggs and the male is looking his best. I've got a 60L tank in which to breed them and I may do just that soon, I've got a nice holiday coming up to devote the time needed. All we need to do is move the poly out of there :p. I've also got a 100L tank that I can set up temporarily for rearing.

It'd be good to do some breeding again, I haven't seen lemon tetras around in CPT for quite a while now and I quite like the look of them. I'll update this thread as I progress; I've bred Characins before with success so wish me luck!

Thanks G, I'll update again maybe with pics when the hopefully soon-to-be-parents are in their tank, I'm going to have to salvage some more moss or make some spawning mops before they are moved in. For now I'll continue keeping up their feeding and waterchanges until I move them.

Any update on them? Would love to see how things are going :)

Are you looking at selling them once they are of age? :)

I'm still conditioning them for now, but I'm hoping to move the poly out soon (he needs to be in one of our bigger tanks anyway) and I will probably need to find some spawning mops or more moss for the tank.

If I have enough survive to a sufficient age and quality level I'll gladly sell some :)
