My pair of leleupi's had taken up an ablone shell as their nesting site. Over the weekend i had notice fry wriggling at the enterance of the shell.

Ablone shell place of the bottom of the tank and insert a hole just big enough for the female to enter. She clean out the inside of the shell. I notice her fanning the inside of the shell and when she re-appears she would chase off anything that comes to near the shell. Then to my suprise I saw little fry moving inside the shell. Someone had told me that it is very difficult to breed these fish. By I am glad that I got them to breed.

    Pictures

My camera is in for service should be back my next week. I have lots of pictures to take.

I have a 1.2m tank loaded with my brichardi colony. At one stage I could have had about over 1000 fry. Parents are now being too horny they have started spawning again after I had taken away their breeding sites.

I had setup more rock work and caves to entice them to start again they form permanent pairs during breeding and fry is present which i have notice. Was a bit disappointed that the fry lasted a
week they were swimming in the entrance of the shell.
