LED light

    Hi,i have a 60led light,i dont know much about led,arnt led to bright for a tank?
    Its a light i used at work,sold at a local shop,the baterys died,now im planing on runing it on a charger.
    I can post pics if nesecary..
    What would your opinion be,or rather stay with the normal 20w aquarium bulbs?

    Normal 20W!!!!

    and 60 LED? any other info in it? If running from batteries, I can almost promise you it is not nearly strong enough for a tank larger than say 20L.... pics might be helpful, or any other info on the back/side. But you will be far better of with T5 or CFL, unless you are willing to spend R3000 per 60L of water

    WOW. Thats a beast of a led light! holy moly..
    This is definitely going to be bright! unless the all very week LED's..
    I would give it a try, but it might just be a bit too strong for the fishies
    Set it up and take pic of it so we can see what it looks like..

    If those are 16cd or 20cd LED's, they will be really strong, but anything less will not be much. I have used 4 20cd LED's, normal driven at 4000K and even overdriven to give a 8000K, the 4 of them were to weak in a 10L container to give enough light to see clearly. Try it, or you can give us details on the batteries it runs of, that might help me to determine more about the LED's
