Lead in fish tank?

    As far as I know Lead is supposed to be poisonous, now I might be off the mark here but the other day when I bought some plants the were weighted down with a "lead" wrap around the bottom. Has anyone ever given this some thought?

    you need to remove it. There was a discussion about this on another forum a year or 2 ago. it is highly poisonous.

    If they dont know lead is poisonous how did they pass st6 science?

    Too true, but how are these guys growing the plants out unaware? Or is it a devil may care attitude?

    well you must take the lead off the plants before you plant them. the new plants mostly come in hard plastic rings

    If you want to use lead and believe me it has its uses,we carp specimen anglers use a coating on our lead sinkers that can be "baked" on.It is a type of coating and cannot be dissolved and it is not poisonous.You can find it at any of the bigger angling shops that stock specimen carp angling products.
