    i am really stuck on the layout of my tank and i really need some help with the type of plants
    ps whats the best type of gravel for plants

    What do you want to do with the tank? Tank size - picture of what it is currently etc.

    Do you have light, filtration - fish that you need / want to stock it with and all that will help. Substrate choice is a function of maintenance.fish stock.type of plants

    In general pebble / silica (filter sand) / play sand all should work - but have a look at some old threads ...
