Seems the one doesn't know what the other is doing......so I assume we can now take it as NOT being law and therefore the old list does still apply until such time as the new list is gazetted without 'draft' on it....eish - very confusing! :(

righteo - after phone +-20 numbers i eventually phoned SANBI - dont know why i didnt do that from the start - SANBI says the list is still draft and not law but it shouldnt change much with regards to aquatic animals and plants between the draft and the actual act. i will speak the the SANBI guy in charge tomorrow ( in a work shop today) and report back....

Now what i just want to know is how can DEAT and Dep Agri not know whats going on with their OWN laws.... yet SANBI knows exactly whats going on.....

That's pretty good news then! Opens up a new dimension to fish keeping for us! Wouldn't you agree? I've always been fascinated by shrimp, now we will be allowed to legally keep them.
