large white spots on otto

    Hello folks,

    So i saw these spots on one of the ottos in the tank.
    Any idea what it could be please?

    Looks like a severe fungal attack. Possibly at the site of an injury.

    Keep the water pristine.
    And get an anti-fungal medication. Am sure some local members will be able to advise as to what is available in SA

    Cool, just checked, and it should work
    "Eradicates ectoparasites and fungal, bacterial, and viral lesions"
    I have treated and hope it recovers soon.

    I will do a 50% water change tomorrow and redose

    Give paraguard a try yes. I’m not the most clued up on meds but that’s what I’d use probably

    I've not used Paraguard myself. But that should work

    I have used aquarium salt and water changes to fix my fungal issues. No Paraguard needed in my case.

    ottos are sensitive aquarium salt arent they ?

    Dissolve the salt in water before adding.
