    Nice looking tank

Frontosa will end up eating the shellies. You may want to reconsider that combination.

Frontosa can also grow up to be monsters, have not kept them yet. Might if I can my tank moved to the house in one piece not sure yet.

Yes, and there is that issue too.
A 4 foot tank is too small for them unfortunately.

A friend of mine has a fantastic colony of them in a 7 footer

That's the thing. They won't be small for long. A well cared for frontosa is going to reach about 30cm for a male, females a bit smaller.
Shellies which max at 4 or 5 cm aren't going to last long with them unfortunately.

There are other Tangs which superficially look like frontosa.
Neo sexfasciatus is blue/grey striped. They are quite aggro though but you may get away with them and the Shellies.
They may be more difficult to track down though.

Some of the Julies may also be worth considering.

IMG_20190907_202237.jpg Frontosas are slow growers but they get big. This guy was about 30cm and super aggressive well I guess only at me.
