Hi there guys, thought I would share my setup for 6 Julichromis Regani. Tank dimensions are 600mmx400x500mm. My hope is to get a pair out of the 6 and use this as there breeding setup. I currently only have 4 in the tank, the setup is relativly new and I dont want to put too much strain on the biological filtration. Ill be getting another 2 in a week or so.

I have no clue about breeding Julichromis Regani .. so did a quick aquariumlife fish profile look-up ... your tank looks like it is perfect for the fish. But the profile mentioned that it is best to do 1 male & two females for breeding.

    BTW that a DIY tank?

OK just found your other post "My tang system is currently a custom 2ft(+-120L) 600x400x500" - nice ... l

Thanks, as far as I know they only form pairs if they grown up together. My aim is to keep them as a group until I notice a pair forming then Ill sell the rest : )

I didnt DIY the tank, just gave the specs to the tank builder. When it comes to holding water I dont trust my workmanship ; ) When I hear water dripping in the middle of the night I need someone else to blame!

Just an update. Im sitting with +- 15 - 30 fry. They started spawning in December. I already have a second batch of fry. They are such good parents I decided to leave them with the parents. Strange to see the older fry protecting the younger ones.
