After returning home from the weekend, Nirv and I noticed my L001 pleco repeatedly sucking on his tankmates, including a tiger shovelnose and a featherfin syno, both of which are roughly his size, with the TSN being only slightly larger. My guess is that he was hungry after not getting food for two nights, but then again, he was well fed before we left and was still far from starving. My other thought is that it might be a nutrition thing, only he has a varied diet as is, consisting of: -Nutrafin Max Pleco Logs -Nori (sushi "seaweed") -cucumber -bloodworms -misc. sinking pellets -whats left of lance fish after the predators -plenty of bogwood to chew on I'm wondering if anyone else has any ideas on what's going on, and also how to discourage it? He left little teeth marks on Nirv's tiger shovelnose. This might cause issues for our relationship! Thankfully no serious damage has been done yet.
I've seen them do that in my own tanks9when i kept them),in some of my friends tanks and some of my families tanks. i do not know why they do that but i know how to stop them.:nurse:. Bye bye pleco!
Oh no, not my baby! I've had him for over 4 years... I don't want to even think of anything like that unless he starts endangering the other fish seriously.
