Wanted: Kribensis

can anyone tell me where i can get Kribensis ? and what is the price on these fish?

LOL @byronb are they very available? i read that they were hard to find. a few would be nice, males and females, they are beautiful fish

 

and can i add them to a comunity tank? else i have a spare 4 foot i can put them in.. Ill buy from you @byronb, if the price is fair..

 

I've seen them a few times at hillfox LPS.

 

They are very available, but never look like that in the lps....... juveniles (which the lps sells mostly), don't have that bright colouring yet, which also only gets AS bright when they go into breeding colouration.....

community tank.... if the tank is big and the scaping correct, yes, otherwise they can be murderers when they pair up.....

 

I saw some in george at scottys, one looking just like the pic, stunning looking fish.

 

I'm also looking for a full-grown male. If somebody's got one. West rand area, if possible.

 

We have loads down this side of the country. Some local breeders are always stocking the tanks.

Why do you want one?

The reason I ask is that I have a full grown male Krib in exile in my Angel tank. His mate was killed by my other Krib pair in the Africa tank & he was almost bullied to death. He is beautiful and doing very well, but he nips the cory's fins a bit. I would let him go to a good home, preferably where he could perhaps meet a nice girl

 

They are awesome fish in a community tank ,very pretty .. I have two males I can part with as I have a pair ..

 

@PappaBear it will be a 700L tank, island style, Valis on the border, rock island in the middle and the rest just white fine gravel.. but other fish will be tetra family/ mollies/ plattys... and in big numbers of each species.. maybe it will be wiser to stay aways from Kribs?

700liter is very large, more than sufficient imo

Cool you can take them ..
They a few months old , very colorful and pretty .. My male from the breeding pair(their dad) chases them around a bit ,so probably better move them.. I am sure you can find a female or two from other members around .. They leave my guppies , tetras etc alone unless they are in breeding mode , then they chase everyone away from their cave / pot.. otherwise awesome fish , great colors and very cool personalities.
