hi we recently re waterproofed our koi pond and kept our koi in a 200litre black storage box and did water changes once a day . we put the koi back in yesterday morning buy lunchtime we lost two fish and another this morning now the two we have left have weird skin hanging on the corner of its mouth. we waterproofed the pond before and never had this problem what is wrong
Did you Cycle the pond again after you filled it up? I'm Guessing your beneficial bacteria in the pond died when it was empty.
Did you dechlorinate the water? Lotsa big koi in a 200l holding pond will have quite a severe effect on the pH of the water over a while - di you test pH of holding tank vs. pond... did you first "wash" off and drain pond walls before refilling?
Was only 5 koi its about a 2000l pond I rinsed and brushed the sides ,I couldn't cycle the pond for long as the filter in the tempory tank packed up it only cycled for 24hrs I did dech the water
