Hi, I've been having problems cycling one of my tanks, it's 100% now, but with all good things, there's always a bad thing that comes with it...

Or let me set my point str8, algae isn't normally a bad thing, but it looks bad on my nice white substrate...
The tank started growing algae, have been keeping the light off more than what i used to, the algae free floating, just on my glass and on my substrate.

Now, my question is, how to make the algae disapear? Currently have a few live plants in that tank, and also 30 guppy fry...
Filtration is built into the lid, like a trickle system, also got a long air stone in the back of the aquarium, and also, as extra filtration, a cornet box filter, with extra bio rings inside it, and the normal filter floss.

Heater is currently set to 28 degrees for the fry to devalop a bit faster....

So ja, advice please guys, how do i got rid of the algae without changing the substrate or desturbing it to much?

    Quintin

Get yourself some real SAE's.. They'll clean most any algae ridden tank within a week.. Lol.. @Talita PetStop has some at the moment..

    Best of luck

Pleco is in the tank, removed him from my convict tank, he is grazing on the algae, enjoying it so much that he is chasing the guppy fry away...

but he works when lights goes out
