    Hey guys

    Please help! :worried:

Two of my Nothobranchius Rachovii males died of which i saw one had a bloated stomach and the back part of his body lifted every time as soon as he stood still.

Another male is doing the same thing, only a lot more active with a big appetite. I'm gonna try a water change but I doubt that alone will do the trick.

    Any suggestions?

can you post a photo please...

without seeing the fish and knowing all the details, my first suggestion would be to treat for flagellates. Sera has a good product called Flagellol and also use the Baktopur Tabs...

what have you been feeding them? type of feed and brand name please?

Staple flake food for all tropical fish. Brand name: Daro

The bottom fishy in the first pic is the non-sick one. Just wana show how the healthy ones compare.

cant tell anything from the pics...

I suggest you get high quality foods for these fish once they're out of the treatment. Sera has a good range of dry foods.

I can't tell from the photos, but if the scales are raised there is a possibility that it is dropsy.

All good observations sofar, BUT BEWARE

Hello, it's sad especially when seemingly identical fish are "well", and others are..."sick"

You have received best possible input with limited background info.

I must point out that Nothobranchius Rachovii Blueband Killifish
is on the current South African Freshwater fish blacklist ,and as such, may not be discussed in open forum, in terms of tasa rules and regulations.

This does not mean you should destroy them or anything like that, just be aware of it....:blink1:

I for one, think they are beautiful fish, endemic to Southern Africa. (ie. LOCAL)
