    @A new day has inspired me to keep track of my tanks a bit, so will use this thread to do so.

    My current tanks:

    Catfish corner - 60l - Lolita the female betta, some kuhlis and my Duranoglanis catfish

    About as big as that, 3-5cm. Mine may be a bit smaller as I don't feed my fish tonnes and tonnes. Had them about 2 years now? I am trying to induce spawning again. They go absolutely HAM for food, gave them some daphnia now and they are cruising like little sharks.

    Formerly Tatia or Centromochlus perugaie, or oil catfish. I got mine through an importer at R120 each...

    Thanks! I pretty much leave that one alone, did kill all my hornwort by using a strong peroxide bath for some algae it seems. The damn algae is still alive too haha

    I feel your pain. I have just decided to indulge algae in my planning from now on. If you cant beat them, assimilate them. I have found that if you make a monkey wear enough golden rings eventually you can no longer tell it's a monkey. My water is not municipal supply but from a spring so it is a constant battle (war).

    I know I said it before but those catfish are REALLY cute, hope you have great success breeding them!

    Roughly the size of a big Cory and there’s something about their wriggliness that reminds me of a Cory. Plus a little je ne sais quoi

    Thank you! If they lay now I will have to find a holiday babysitter, luckily the fry take well to powdered foods and I don't have to struggle with artemia :D

    @Hendre Very cool!

    I do, however, find it a little strange that you are a moderator on MFK and offer such compelling advice on owning monster tanks when you yourself don't own or have really ever owned a monster tank.

    No offense... #justsaying

    Small tank, big tank, similar deal but with bigger fish and bigger parts. I mostly dish advice for Polypterus, a genus I'm rather intimate with knowledge wise. Even then I'm not afraid to tag in some of the proper experts wherever. 5 years of posting, countless hours of research and absorbing, and some fish mentorship, puts me in a position where I can help with a fair deal of stuff ;)
