They've only just developed the new colour that can be seen here, and it developed quite suddenly the other morning. It was a relief and a pleasure to see that they're definitely turning out to be high quality true lippincottianus as opposed to maculatus :D

In other news, we're waiting on the Polypterus to grow out of his tank and then we'll move him, so that I can commence breeding those Lemon Tetras - I haven't forgotten to do it!

Those are some good looking fish, I bet they'll be absolute stunners when they get bigger :)

Thanks man :) As you can maybe see from the pics, there's quite a size difference between our two largest (those who have also developed the new colour) and the rest, so hopefully that will balance out later on. We're keeping up the feeding and the water changes for maximum growth, of course. This is the first time in years I've had to use plastic plants, but they look alright in the current. Excited to see them all in a few months to a year, when they will all probably be at full colour.

Kattz took these photos on a Nikon D90, she's a lot better at it than me :)

@azurekoi: Thanks, I'm enjoying every minute with them, their behaviour is very pleasing in addition to these signs of great patterning and colour later on - very happy with them.
