So was at the LFS and saw a 2nd hand aquarium.
    A Jebo 1000(L)x450(W)x620(H).
    3x 30W T8 10 000K
    And it is R2500

What do you guys and girls think? Should I get it?

First what do you want to put in it. for a JEBO tank that is a good price.

I already have a 450L Discus setup. So might go over to the dark side(marine)

Personally, I'd stay away from them. They look nice and several of the models are a good price, considering that they're a 'plug and play' aquarium, but I've come across so many downfalls with Jebo that it has given me a distaste for them.

If you're absolutely keen for it, ask the shop that's selling you the tank if they're able to to get spare parts for this particular model - this is the number one issue that I've come across in Jebos. That, and the hardware tends to pack up after a relatively short time - these problems go hand in hand if you get what I'm trying to say.

EDIT: if you're going to spend money on marine, there are better brands for the job.

Bad idea for this tank, lighting is inadequate, no place for a decent skimmer etc.

Well, as far as I've seen, the lights tend to go first. The filter isn't so bad, but if a problem does occur, a pump of a suitable size can be hard to find.

To be honest I would rather splash out on a good brand of tank if I was to do a marine tank - Juwel and Red Sea are both extremely good brands, and yes, they are expensive, but both are ideal for marine keeping. The Juwels can do with a bit of 'doing up' (changing lights for corals, maybe adding another filter), but besides that they're more than adequate for a basic marine setup. Red Sea is also expensive but is ready to take on most marine setups.

I'm not saying that Jebo is absolutely useless for the task of marine fishkeeping, and I have seen several setups with some beautiful marine displays, but in my opinion you can't afford to have substandard equipment in a marine tank - it just isn't worthwhile going through the stress of having your system packing up. Freshwater is more forgiving in this regard, marines aren't.

Jebo tanks make horrible marine setups. When setting up a marine tank you ideally want to build a custom setup. This way when new theories/methods are discovered you can keep with the times. JEBO does not allow that. Dont make the mistake all the noobs make. Stay away from set systems. You want something you can build into.

O, and in about 2 months time I will be going away, so not to sure if I'm going to buy the tank.

If I do buy the tank, I will remove all the fish(small schooling fish) from my Discus setup, and make my 450L a species tank.

Jin Long pumps fit on Jebo tanks, just to let you know, lights is no problem, if they burn out then fit T5, anything is possible with a little DIY

Yes, but that is easy. Just drill some holes and connect some pipes and there you go.:p
